Interior design is one of the easiest businesses to make look good on Instagram and one of the hardest to turn into bookings. Beautiful photos collect likes from other designers, students and people saving ideas. The client you want is quieter: someone who has just got the keys to a flat and needs help now.
Here is how we help studios reach that person and move them to a consultation.
1. Show the change, not just the finished room
A finished room is nice. A before-and-after is a story. Short reels that start with a bare concrete flat and end with the finished space do three jobs at once: they prove you can deliver, they show your style, and they make the viewer imagine their own flat.
- Film the empty space on the first site visit, every time.
- Keep reels between 15 and 30 seconds, with the reveal near the end.
- Add a short caption with the flat size, area and rough timeline so viewers can relate it to their own project.
2. Reach people at handover time
The best moment to reach a client is between buying a flat and moving in. Target people interested in home décor and furniture in the areas where new buildings are handing over, and run separate ads for recent movers where the audience is available. If you work with developers, ask whether you can offer their buyers a design session.
3. Make enquiry easy, and make it WhatsApp
Most people in Dhaka would rather send a WhatsApp message than fill in a long form. Use click-to-WhatsApp ads with a pre-filled first message, and reply with three quick questions: flat size, area and the rooms they want designed. That tells you in minutes whether the lead fits your budget range.
4. Be open about price ranges
Many studios avoid mentioning price, which means they spend time on people who expected something much cheaper. You do not need a full rate card. A line such as “full-flat design packages start from…” or “consultation fee adjusted against the project” filters out mismatches and builds trust with serious clients.
5. Retarget people who saved or watched
Someone who saved three of your posts or watched a reel to the end is already interested. Build audiences from video viewers and profile engagers, and show them a direct offer: a site consultation, a design session at your studio, or a portfolio of projects in their area.
What to measure
Follower growth and likes are pleasant but they do not pay the rent. Track WhatsApp conversations started, consultations booked and projects signed, and ask every new client where they first saw you.
